LUCKNOW: The Ayodhya airport construction will be completed by September, said civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia in a tweet on Wednesday.Five days ago, the Airport Authority of India (AAI) had told TOI that with an airport with night and fog landing facilities in place, the first first phase of airport operation is expected to receive licence by October this year from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).Once the licence is received, the airlines can kickstart commercial transportation of passengers and goods.The minister further said that “spread over 6,250 sqm area, the terminal building of the airport, depicting a grand Ram temple, will provide a spiritual experience to the passengers, also depict the life cycle of Lord Ram and open new doors of regional prosperity through religious tourism”.Ayodhya airport will have a 2,200 metre long runway which can handle landing and take off Airbus A320, ATR-72 and Bombardier private jets.
