Egypt has started to send aid to Gaza for the first time since the latest conflict broke out.Responding to requests from the U.S., Europe, and Arab nations, Egypt aims to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.On Saturday morning, about 20 trucks crossed into Gaza through the Rafah border post.

According to reports, these trucks carried much-needed food and medical supplies.This action won praise from European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

She took to social media to thank everyone involved.The World Food Program also chimed in.

They stated that the convoy carried 60 tons of food.Moreover, an additional 930 metric tons of emergency food is ready for transport into Gaza as soon as possible.Before the aid delivery, Egypt hosted a crisis committee meeting in Cairo.

Leaders from various countries, including Italy, Qatar, and South Africa, attended.Representatives from the European Union, Turkey, and China were also present.

Many participants called for calming the situation as Israel continues its airstrikes.High-ranking officials from Israel, the U.S., or Hamas were not in attendance.Egypt Sends First Aid Convoy to Gaza Amid Conflict.

and the U.K., key allies of Israel, support this position.Egypt is becoming a key player in this crisis.

The country is helping to ensure that essential supplies like food, water, and electricity reach Gaza.Israel has imposed a full blockade on the area following attacks from Hamas, which caused multiple casualties.Warning from Jordan KingEgypt’s President, Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, ruled out the idea of hosting Palestinian refugees.

He argued that it could risk bringing Hamas fighters into Egypt.During the meeting, he urged all parties to negotiate for peace.

King Abdullah II of Jordan issued a warning.He stated that the lack of international action could have serious consequences.

Mahmoud Abbas, the president of the Palestinian Authority, expressed similar concerns.The Rafah border crossing’s status remains uncertain.

The U.S.

embassy in Israel has issued a warning about the situation’s fluid nature.Over 2 million people live in Gaza, facing shortages of essential items.

Many humanitarian workers are waiting to enter Gaza from Egypt.Some have organized protests to mourn those who have died in the conflict.
