Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi once again emphasized the need for an inclusive government in Afghanistan during his meeting with his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon in Tajikistan.Raisi also said that after two decades of occupying Afghanistan, the Americans have left nothing but destruction behind, which is holding Afghanistan back.&We always believe that there should be a government at work that can represent all ethnicities, religions and all the people of Afghanistan and take lasting steps towards the progress of this country,& said Raisi. While the Islamic Emirate considers the issue of forming a government as an internal issue, it states there is a single and independent government that has the support of all the people in the country. The leaders of both countries have also emphasized that the people of Afghanistan have the right to grow and progress, and as neighbors of Afghanistan, Iran and Tajikistan feel more responsible for the people of this country.Although Iran has had good relations with the Islamic Emirate in the last two years and has handed over the Afghan embassy in Tehran to the Islamic Emirate, Tajikistan&s relations with the Islamic Emirate have always been tense and there is still no green light for this country&s interaction with the caretaker government of Afghanistan. The post Presidents of Iran and Tajikistan discuss situation in Afghanistan first appeared on Ariana News.
