Chennai: Vedanta Ltd owned Sterlite Copper resumed production of medical oxygen at its system in Tamil Nadu, days after it faced a technical snag, resulting in a stop in operation, the business said on Wednesday.
We are delighted to share that the disturbance in the oxygen plant has been rectified and have now rebooted production, the company stated in an upgrade.
The oxygen created is being stored at our on-site facilities and will be distributed according to the instructions of the state government and concerned nodal officers.
The business had roped in professionals from the Indian Space Research study Organisation to rectify the glitch.Last week, the ISRO group had shown up and recommended some procedures to fix the snag and resume oxygen production.The center at Tuticorin district started producing medical oxygen, on Might 13, to meet the demand for the life-saving gas following a rise in COVID cases in the state.
