VIJAYAWADA: As many as 15.15 lakh farmers got Rs 1,829.23 crore as crop insurance coverage in the state.

Jagan Mohan Reddy noted that the government has actually taken the duty of supporting the farmers at all tough times and hence generated the complimentary crop insurance scheme, without imposing the concern of premium on them.The CM on Tuesday credited Rs 1,820.23 crore under YSR Free Crop Insurance coverage scheme to the savings account of 15.15 lakh farmers who lost their crop during the 2020 kharif.
He said that unlike the previous program, under which required a farmer was forced to pay his share and both state and main governments equally bore the premium total up to obtain insurance, the YSRC federal government revamped the plan and was paying the whole insurance premium by itself, making sure that all the farmers who registered themselves on e-crop platform got their share of insurance straight without any intermediaries.
The Chief Minister stated that an overall of Rs 3,788.25 crore was invested in the crop insurance plan in the last 23 months, including the pending charges of Rs 715.84 crore left by the previous government.
Besides these, the State government had invested Rs 83,000 crore towards farmer welfare in the last 23 months.
For Rythu Bharosa alone, a quantity of Rs 17,029 crore was spent.The CM said that his federal government was working to protect the interests of the farmers.
It established 10,778 Rythu Bharosa Kendras (RBKs) and incorporated them with village secretariats to benefit the farmers.
He stated that the loss in kharif 2020 was being compensated by the onset of next kharif, making sure that no farmer suffers from losses.
Taking transparency in governance to the next level, all these information, compensation for the crop loss etc, will be shown at RBKs for social audit and those losing out from the list can get enrolled at RBK itself.
Not simply from seeds to marketing, RBKs also double up as crop purchase centres, he said.
The Chief Minister stated that the state government had credited Rs 1,038 crore as input subsidy for those farmers who lost their crops in natural calamities, without any delays making sure that every farmer gets compensated in the same season.
He discussed that besides these, the federal government had spent Rs 18,342 crore for obtaining paddy and Rs 4761 crore towards buying other crops and support the farmers.In order to provide totally free nine-hour electrical power to farmers throughout daytime, Rs 17,430 crore was spent.
He even more mentioned that furthermore, the federal government had actually cleared Rs 960 crore paddy procurement defaults and Rs 384 crore seed procurement financial obligations left by the previous government.

In order to benefit dairy farmers, the state signed an MoU with Amul to provide a better rate with an extra of Rs 5- Rs 15 per liter to the farmers.
Taking another advance for the farmers, the government is establishing multi-purpose centers under each RBK, with a total expense of Rs 14,000 crore.
Under the YSR Jala Kala scheme, the federal government had provided over two lakh bore wells at an expense of Rs 4,932 crore, besides offering motors to poor farmers.
The federal government has kept every promise made during elections and strictly carried out the election manifesto.
