Secretary-General of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) Stephen Twigg, who is on an official visit to Sri Lanka, has called on President Ranil Wickremesinghe today (Jan.
13).The meeting took place at the Presidential Secretariat this morning.Senior Advisor to the President on National Security and Chief of Staff of the President Mr.
Sagala Ratnayake was also present on this occasion.Mr.
Twigg, who is on an official visit to Sri Lanka, met with Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena and Foreign Affairs Minister Ali Sabry yesterday.Accompanied by CPAs Head of Strategy and Engagement Emily Davies, Mr.
Twigg arrived on the island on Tuesday night (Jan 10).During his visit, Mr.
Twigg will hold talks with the Speaker of Parliament, Leader of the House, Opposition Leader, parliamentary members and representatives of civil society organizations.
